On my LC1. 8 if Im mowing regularly and the grass is dry then I can mow without the catcher and theres no obvious trail of clippings it all gets broken down enough that it falls down into the grass. If Ive let the grass grow a bit longer or its a bit damp it will still leave clumps, though TBH im too lazy to take the mulcher plug in and out so I just live with occasional lumps of grass lol. Ill have to double check all the bolts to see if theyre all tight. The cable going to the throttle keeps getting in the way. You cant cable tie them to the handles, because when it comes time to fold the handles when putting the mower away it gets stretched. Ok then, a mate of mine suggested a Masport mower. I had a look at the Masport website and for a bit less than 1. Husqvarna LC 1. 8 is the Masport President 3. ST Combo IC at an RRP of 6. It seems like a decent mower. Masport also has their Silver Series of mowers though I havent worked out the main differences between these and the President Series. The masport 3. 00. Actually went to buy one but my local masport retailer ended up being useless. Went elsewhere and got the lc. Everything about the masport sounded good though. Local dealer had it with a smaller engine only that was not documented as an option anywhere by masport, and was different to their own website and were generally clueless and unhelpful when questioned about it. I bought the Victa Corvette Alloy recently from the guys at Prompt Mowers in Rouse Hill. Heaps of praise for the guys. Super professional, know their stuff, willing to help and even run you right through your new purchase to ensure you understand its functions. The mower is an absolute beauty.
